T’ai Chi Part I Booster
T’ai Chi Part I Booster
Deepening Practice Through Presence and Awareness
This workshop is for students familiar with Part I of the Yang Long Form. It’s a space to consolidate your learning by returning to the core principles of T’ai Chi - focusing on presence and awareness rather than technical perfection.
The aim is to build confidence by fully inhabiting the body, allowing it to guide you through the Form. This approach helps bypass overthinking and taps into muscle memory and intuitive flow.
You’ll revisit the Part I sequence with attention on:
Internal alignment & breath
Postural awareness
Mindfulness & meditation in movement
Energetic flow (qi)
We’ll explore how confidence grows from being present - letting go of our Monkey thoughts, and moving with clarity and ease.
Guided practice will help you build understanding of:
Sequence of movements, in flow
Correct weight distribution
Good postural awareness, releasing tension
Muscle memory, allowing your body to inform what’s next
How quietening mental chatter creates space for clarity
You’ll also engage with principles like letting go, focused intent, and the balance of expansion and contraction - supporting a deeper, more connected experience of the Form.
